Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When a search field on this resource sends a name or case number to its outside provider, that provider receives and processes the query under its own practices. San Juan County Court Docket does not keep a separate log of the search terms entered through that provider.
Messages and Contact Submissions
A message sent directly to us may be retained so that a response can be made and the correspondence can be managed. We do not disclose direct messages outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law or needed to address the message.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal server and browser activity can create technical records about a visit, including the following information:
- The IP address used to connect to the resource
- Browser type, browser version, device type, and operating system
- Pages requested and the approximate time spent on them
- The referring site, when one is supplied
- Dates and times associated with page requests
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and analytics tools may be used to understand traffic patterns, improve performance, and identify technical problems. Browser controls can restrict or remove cookies. Restricting them can affect how some features function.
What We Do With This Data
Technical and direct-contact information may be used for the following operational purposes:
- Operating, securing, and maintaining the resource
- Routing a submitted search to the applicable outside service
- Measuring page performance and general readership patterns
- Diagnosing errors and improving reliability
- Supporting advertising delivered through the resource
No Court-Record Data on File
San Juan County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a San Juan County court-docket database or a personal case-record database. Its purpose is to identify court, clerk, and statewide access channels that maintain official records. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and it does not assemble visitor information into consumer reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this resource are supplied by outside companies. Information submitted through one of those tools is handled under the provider’s own privacy policy, retention practices, and sharing rules. Those choices are outside our control, so review the provider’s policy before entering information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may direct you to court and clerk pages, statewide case-access services, legal-aid resources, or outside search tools. Once you leave San Juan County Court Docket, the receiving service’s privacy practices control that interaction. Review those terms before supplying personal information.
Advertising providers may also use their own technologies to measure activity across services or deliver interest-based advertisements. That activity occurs under their systems and policies.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Depending on the action taken, information can be processed by:
- The outside search provider receiving a submitted query
- Analytics providers used to assess traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that serve content on the resource
- Government or law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal requirement
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information in our possession. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, and no safeguard can guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor supplied personal information directly to us, contact us so the report can be reviewed and the information addressed as appropriate.
Your Data Rights
You may ask about personal information connected to a direct message, including a request to access, correct, delete, or limit the handling of that information. These requests concern information held by this private resource, not official court files.
New Mexico court-record requests follow a different route. Under NMSA 14-2-8(D) and the New Mexico Courts IPRA process, a request to the court must supply the requester’s name, address, telephone number, and a reasonably particular description of the record; a reason is not required. The court holding the case, rather than this resource, is the custodian of its local file. Supreme Court Order 23-8500-007 separately governs online court-record access, including redaction and restrictions on sealed or confidential material.
- Ask what direct-message information we retain about you
- Request correction of inaccurate direct-message information
- Request deletion of information when retention is not required
- Ask about available choices concerning certain processing
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy when operational practices or legal requirements change. A revised version becomes effective when posted here and will show its effective date.
